Sand Technologies Achieves AWS Advanced Tier Services Status, Offers Key AI Solutions for Telecom Leaders

The company’s elevated status in the AWS Partner Network follows its successful completion of the AWS Foundational Technical Review.
New York, NY; September 19, 2024 – Sand Technologies, a global AI solutions company, announced today it has achieved the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Advanced Tier Services Partner status within the AWS Partner Network (APN). AWS Advanced Tier Services Partners are organizations recognized for proven technical expertise and demonstrated customer experience.

To attain AWS Advanced Tier Services Partner status, Sand Technologies met several AWS technical requirements, including AWS certifications, capabilities, implementations, as well as AWS technical and business professional accreditations. In addition, the company’s telecommunications AI solution, AI Site Planner, has been added to the AWS Partner Solutions Finder after passing the AWS Foundational Technical Review (FTR) for Service Offerings. This tool – alongside the related SiteConfig and Fixed Broadband Planning solutions – has previously delivered fast, powerful results for telecom leaders around the world.

“Becoming an AWS Advanced Tier Services Partner is a major milestone for Sand Technologies and a testament to our commitment to innovation,” said Fred Swaniker, CEO of Sand Technologies. “This achievement highlights our strong team of skilled and certified AWS professionals and our proven track record in delivering AWS solutions to clients. We’re ecstatic about scaling our AI solutions and expanding our support for our Telecom clients. By working with AWS, we’re helping businesses make faster, more informed decisions that create lasting impact and a more connected future.”

Sand Technologies’ AI Site Planner, powered by Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), uses machine learning (ML) algorithms, ray tracing and digital twins to help operators plan their entire network in months, and simulate a city-wide network within seconds. The solution identifies where to build new radio access network (RAN) sites by modeling demand, optimizes power and radio signals in near real-time, and guarantees the highest ROI.

Sand Technologies’ SiteConfig services can simulate the entire RAN network in a fraction of the time taken by traditional software. The tool optimizes network configurations based on demand throughout the day, enabling the vision of a fully autonomous network.

Fixed Broadband Planning, meanwhile, allows companies to find the most profitable areas to deploy fixed line or wireless technologies as they invest in broadband deployments.

AI Site Planner is now published in AWS Partner Solutions Finder, with SiteConfig and Fixed Broadband Planning launching soon.
