Sand Technologies Achieves ISO 27001 Certification for Information Security

September 5, 2024 – Sand Technologies, a global AI solutions company, announced today it has achieved ISO 27001 certification. ISO 27001 is the leading international standard for information security. Companies that achieve ISO 27001 compliance must demonstrate their ongoing adherence to strict management protocols for all aspects of information security.

Enterprises and municipalities worldwide can be confident that Sand Technologies’ AI solutions use accredited security best practices that safeguard their sensitive business information.

The company’s Enterprise AI division, which develops AI solutions for leading enterprises and governments around the world, was deemed ISO 27001:2002 compliant following a rigorous certification process. The process involved a thorough risk assessment; a review of Sand Technologies’ security policies; and verification that the company adheres to a stringent Information Security Management System (ISMS) across people, processes and technology.

Enterprises and municipalities worldwide can be confident that Sand Technologies’ AI solutions use accredited security best practices that safeguard their sensitive business information.

“All AI initiatives need a strong data foundation. Without the proper security protocols, that foundation will quickly crumble,” said Shaun Dippnall, Chief Delivery Officer and Head of Enterprise AI for Sand Technologies. “Achieving ISO 27001 certification underscores our commitment to building enterprise AI solutions in an ISMS that meets the highest international standards for security.”

ISO 27001 defines how organizations should manage information for maximum security. Sand Technologies achieved its ISO 27001 compliance after an extensive audit by Prescient Security, an independent certification body.

Sand Technologies will continue to demonstrate its compliance to ISO 27001 by passing recurring audits that confirm its adherence and continual improvements to a robust ISMS.

ISO 27001 is maintained by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), an independent, non-governmental organization whose membership is comprised of 163 national standards bodies around the world.
